Unproduced Work
The pre-production is the first part of every production for a stage manager! This Pre-Pro example is for The Ugly Duckling by Gay Hammond. It is a one-act play for a young audience, a retelling of the classic story.
The Entrance/Exit plot listed below is for The Ugly Duckling as well. This plot is for tracking characters, the moves in scenes, and what characters are just mentioned in scenes. This style of an Entrance/Exit is called a "French Scene Breakdown". The breakup of scenes is done through the entrance and exits of characters. Everytime a character enters or exits the scene ends and the nextone starts. This style of scene breakdowns allows for Stage Managers to plan accordingly during the blocking and rehearsal process.
This Character/Scene Breakdown shows the scripted layout of the characters in the scene. This paperwork is generally done before the process and does not include the changes the director might make. Some Stage Managers turn this paperwork into the EN/EX to make the turn around easier.

(For Cinderella, I turned my Character Scene Breakdown into my Entrance/Exit and combined it with my Costume Tracking to create an easier rehearsal process.)
